threatment for low testosterone? Hi was at the doctors the other day and she looked at some old blood test results that I had done when I was with another doctor 18 months ago and she is sending me for another blood test to test my testosterone levels again, my question is are there drugs to heighten low testosterone levels in males? thanks -

There are several varieties of injections, there are ointments, testim, androgel another, then patches, one is androderm, so if you have low testosterone, see your doctor. Get your free and total checked, find out why its low, and then get on a supplement. -
low testosterone About 4 months ago I was feeling a bit lethargic with a low sex drive. I was also on effexor which I thought might be the culprit. Upon testosterone lab work found I had low testosterone. Before going on therapy I had several other labs done to find out why. Turned out I needed some treatment in the form of testosterone. Started with patch which was quite expensive and fell off if I started sweating hard. Quit that and started with injections of testosterone cypianate. This is a generic that costs way less, I self inject in the thigh every other week, and am very happy with it. -

His urologist's office gave him a
special coupon to get a manufacturer's discount, and that helped a lot for a few months.
The Testim eventually became too strong to use every day on his skin, so he has now been given another Rx, for AndroGel--and it only cost $42.00 (with insurance). He hasn't tried it yet, so I don't know how it will work. It is a pump, instead of a measured tube of cream/gel.
