taking other meds while on Suboxone-??

Is it safe to take other medications while taking suboxone? My doctor has not been very up front about this, so I'm not sure about some of my other meds. She did say to keep taking my antidepressent, celexa, and didn't really want me to take ambien, but what about others, like soma or ativan? I'm wondering because some of these drugs actually help the other symptoms I'm having from not taking vicodin anymore.

Also, have any of you taking suboxone done any kind of cleansing for your system while on suboxone? My doctor also had me start on a 7 day cleansing system, a fiber supplement and two others that help cleanse your system and detox your liver. I just started today. I'm sure my liver and digestive system will thank me!

I would ask your doctor whether you can continue taking the aforementioned medications. You did not indicate whether you were taking Suboxone for pain, or for an addiction, therefore; it is hard to give advice as to what is safe to take while still on Suboxone.

That's interesting. I'd like to talk to my doctor about that. What does this cleansing system consist of?
