I am taking 8mg a day for the last two days. Doing ok.

I have also been researching Kratom to help with WD from the sub.

Have you heard anything about it??

Here is the web site for The Kratom User's Guide. They even say themselves not to use it with benzos, opiates, etc. It's not anything exact and I wouldn't recommend it. Others might disagree, you can decide for yourself. I don't think it's for you personally.

Sorry you've had such a hard time with the antibiotics as that is the first thing the drs usually do for the lyme disease. I'm actually pretty familiar with it. I have to ask about things like that or I'm not being responsible. And I saw my ex-wife go through hell with endo so I understand that as well.

I have never questioned the legitimacy of your pain. That's the way life is for some of us, we have chronic pain forever. I was just questioning why you would do this to yourself if not doing it to detox. I TOTALLY understand a 300mg oxy habit per day. I was taking 1000mg per day of oxy and 30plus lorcets on top of that each day. Detox from that is no cake walk. But I was trying to get clean permanently, not just to lower my dose.

You can take the suboxone and taper as you are able. If you feel okay after four days, if you feel okay after a week, at that point I would reduce. Beyond that there is no reason to push yourself to a point where you're feeling w/d as you're only trying to lower your dose of pain meds. Take the subs till your happy where you are and stop. I don't know what else to suggest. Hope that helps. God bless.

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say im down to 4mg the last three days.

I want to get off within the next couple of weeks. Cant go through what i did last month with my pain.

I seem to be fine on 4mg. A little more sad, but, overall, ok. I was feeling super good for awhile when i got on the right medicine.

That suboxone was like poison for my body. Thanks so much for suggesting that i should try and switch to subutex.

I got some kratom, but i havent tried it yet. It seems harmless and if anything, i just wasted a few bucks. No big deal.

I only have 11 subutex pills left though, and im trying to decide if i have to go back to the drill sargent.

I think it would be cutting it close. Unless, i just quit at 4mg and see what happens. Keep reading about 2mg being the number. But, i will have been on this for 20 days tomorrow. Trying to not do any harm with the sub.

Seems like everyday i keep taking it, is another step in the WD direction. Just dont know.

Hope all is well with you. Getting off all the meds you were on, is some accomplishment. Wow, that had to be hard.

Sounds like you're doing good tonite mindy. 4mg is not bad at all! I'm impressed. Just keep doing what you're doing.

Drop only by 1mg at this point when you reduce, 2mg is 50% of your dose and too much. I'm sure you're doing better with the subutex than the suboxone.

Robert, im actually not doing well at all.

I have a terrible headache kinda hot, feel really bad actually.

I wanted to just get off the sub so i was going to quit it today, but felt bad so i took 15mg of oxy. Nothing happened of course, i was hoping it might make me feel better.

Now all i want to do is take some sub. Damn. This has been some messed up journey for me.

What do you think?? Could i be feeling this bad from the sub? I didnt drop from 8-6 really, i just decided i wanted to take 1/2 a pill, because its really hard to break the sub into quarters let only 1/16.

I guess if you are going to help me out of this, i need to tell you that i took another 15mg after the first 15mg cause i felt so bad.

I just broke down and im taking, 4mg of subutex.

I remember on the first day that i mixed them, and i felt really good. So, i figured it was ok.

Post in a couple minutes when the sub dissolves.

Ok, at 6mg i feel fine. So, thats what we have to work with. I feel almost normal.

I have looked everywhere to find how many milligrams of oxy = 1mg of sub.

Its day 20 and im stuck at 6mg.

Im following you from now on. The goal is to stop taking sub at the right amount that say 20mg of oxy will get me through the WD from sub.

Hi this is Linda and your post caught my eye- Are you trying to stop sub w/d with Oxy ? If you are on Robert's taper than you need to reduce by 25% and maintain that dose for four days with no w/d. If you have a problem like you did you need to take a .5 sliver of SUBOXONE and then try to put four days together again . You are defeating your purpose by taking Oxy .I am assuming you are trying to taper off Suboxone. I think you need to stay at 6mg of sub -only until you are stable . you need to keep reducing by 25% all the way to .5 taking only Sub not mixing . I would talk to Robert when you can and goood luck Linda

Yes, i am trying to get off the sub.

My history is in this thread. Basically, i have chronic pain from endometriosis and lyme disease.

Over did it on the oxy for 5 months and got up to 240-270 daily sometimes 300mg.

Had to quit, couldnt tapper off that. Every time i tried i got super sick.

So, i got on suboxone, and switched to subutex. Tomorrow is 3 weeks on sub. I am so scared of the WD from sub so i want off it ASAP.

I need to get to a point where 20mg of oxy will take care of the subutex WD. Actually i would like it to be 10mg, but whatever.

I had a very hard time with my last period on the subutex. It just didnt cover my pain even with two tylenols and two advils together. A dentist told me take that combo before.

Sooooo, here i am.

I am not trying to get off the percocets for good, because i cant because of my pain. Just want to be able to take them if i need them.

I am just so behind in my work because of all of this, plus jawbone surgery. I gotta catch up. When im sick, its super hard to work because im a designer. Being creative with WD is not happening.

Hi This is Linda-just wanted to say I went back and read your thread as I didnt understand what you were trying to do. I gathered that you are trying to reduce your tolerance so that 20 mg.of pain meds will cover your pain from your medical conditions ? I really dont see how this will work-you have been on opiates and then subs so you will have w/d plus you have pain. The pain meds you are taking are short acting and the sus have a long half life so every four or so hours you would need to take another pain pill so you 'd need to taking quite a bit to get you through you just jumping off the subs at 6 or 4-probably even two.Plus if you had problems with them before chances are very high that you will have problems again . I know you say you learned your lesson but its not like you did something bad and know you can control it. Unfortunatly I dont think addicts are able to choose or control their doses -we cant . If you need to be on pain meds shoulnt you be on a long acting one instead of Oxy and perc? Also there is a chance that your high levels of opiates are increasing your pain. Since you have a problem with the opiatesit would be great if your pain level decreased and you could go on a non narcotic med. You could follow Roberts taper to .5 or .25 and get off of everything for awhile and then you could reevaluate what direction you should take. I just see the way your doing it with plans to go right back to Oxy as a huge relapse waiting to happen and you'll be right back where you did'nt want to be.Maybe I am missing something or Don't understand?Well good luck .
