Nobody wants to go through withdrawal truthfully. So it appears you only have 4 suboxone left, correct? Your friend gave you 7 (2mg) and you took two the first day (4mg) and then one the second day (2mg)...clearly you aren't going to be home free by any stretch, but it can help some, and everybody is different. I was in a similiar situation once, and knowing what I know now this is what I would suggest.
If you only have 4 (2mg) subs left and cannot get any more:
Try to take as little as possible to get by, cut them in half, and try to taper down to 1mg per day, and then break them in quarters and take .5mg for a few days, save the last 2mg pill and divide it into 8 (.25mg) piles, and take just .25 for the last 4 days, and then skip a day, take .25mg, skip two days, take .25mg, skip three day, take .25mg, and once you skip 4 days you are the done. This is a fast taper, but if you are in a pinch there aren't many more options other than cold trukey. If you can get more subs, let us know and Robert or someone can give you a real good taper plan. Your habit wasn't that terrible, so you may want to just white knuckle this one and get it over in 4 days, versus a longer drawn out one. Peace.

It's really hard telling...typically people get a script for 30 (8mg) pills for a month, so you are dealing with a very small fraction compared to what most use to taper. Good thing is you seem somewhat 'stable' at 2mg per day. Like I said I would attempt to get down to 1mg per day. Usually we reduce by 25% every 4 days, but you don't have enough to do that right now. If you had a few more I would suggest tapering down from 2mg - 1.5mg -
1mg - .75mg - .50mg - .25mg and then start skipping days. We usually do each dose for 3-4 days and make sure we are feeling good before dropping. You can do the math and see how many more you would need to do it like that, otherwise try your best to taper down this weekend to 1mg, and so on...Everybody is different, and most likely you will experience some ill effects from withdrawal like everyone does. To me it is like landing a big jet, and you need to cushion that landing as much as possible with a gradual taper as low as possible. The little fights now in tapering will be much more tolerable than when you stop. Suboxone has a long half life, and most people don't even feel the brunt of with
W/D until the 3rd day after stopping. All the will. Keep us posted.

Default Taper

danny,
Try to get some more subs. You'll need at least around 15 to 20 8mg tablets. If you can score at least half of that amount, try and pm Robert325. He will be able to guide you through this. I listened to what he had to say and I am ready to jump off from .125mg. tomorrow. I believe that is 1/64th of a 8mg pill. Hardly sh!t. But suboxone is very strong. It sure likes to hang around the old system for a while. Short sub tapers work only if your inducted properly, and you stick with the program. Otherwise they might not work so well.

About 7 years ago my sister went to a detox dr in Ft Lauderdale and the doc was using 0.4mg injectable bupernex to get her off of the oxycodone tabs (about 10 a day for several years). He inducted her after about 20 hours of no use, with 1 ampule at 0.4mg, and then half of that amount for her to do again that night and the next morning. She went back in the next day and he gave her enough for a total of an 8 day taper and she followed his directions and was off everything in that time with very little discomfort. Back then there was no sublingal pills and he actually gave her the instructions on how to give herself the shots, kinda like someone with diabetes. It is possible to do a quick taper however the doc was monitoring the whole thing and you will be on your own but I wanted to let you know that it can be done with some care and good common sense, and of coarse the support of the good people on this board that really care about their comrades. Just remember that this is a powerful drug that many seem to take way more than needed. Even licking a pill will administer a dose towards the end of a taper, Good Luck to you!!!
