I have been taking remeron and riperdal for almost 3 month now for postpartum depression and if I would have known all the weight I would be gaining I would have never taken it. I'm on 30mg of remeron and 0.75mg of risperdal I am fed up with taking drugs and want to come off of them on my own. Has anyone took themselves off these drugs and if so what were the withdrawals like?

Neither of us has ever used the Remeron, so I can't answer about that one, but my DH was using Risperdal for quite awhile, he was taking a lot more than you were, 4mgs a day and he just quit taking it without any problems. He was a little drowsy for the first two days and then he was fine, no violent withdrawals at all.
