Default Oxycodone question.......Please help!

Im not sure if im in the right forum but, uh..... here goes!
Ive recently got with a new boyfriend who is on oxycontin controlled release and endone. He used to be on 40mg of the oxycontin, gradually down to 10mg in 8 months and he wants to get rid of the oxycontin for good, even if he suffers the pain in his lower back.
What im wanting to know is what the difference is between Endone and the Oxycontin controlled release and why he only wants to get off the oxycontin. He will not tell me why he says we'll have a talk and he never has.
I dont understand what he is going through after coming off the oxycontin, it seems as though he keeps pusing me away, but i really want to support him and its driving me nutty! Please help me understand!
Grrrr......

Endone?? Do you mean Endocet, which is generic Percocet? There's not much difference, they're both oxycodone, Endocet is immediate release and has acetaminophen, Oxycontin is controlled release and has no apap, 10mgs of OC lasts about 8 hours, 10mgs of Endocet about 4 hours. I don't see what your problem is, lowering his dose is a good thing.
