Hi!
I've been prescribed nearly every pain medication, opiate and non-opiate, under the sun for an old knee injury from nearly 7 years ago, so I hope my experiences can be of help..
As the above poster stated,
oxycodone is ~2x as strong per unit weight compared to
hydrocodone. If 10mg hydrocodone takes care of your pain and leaves you reasonably able to function at work, 5mg oxycodone should treat you similarly. I've noticed, however, that hydrocodone tends to leave me a bit more "loopy" than does oxycodone, which seems to have a slightly more stimulant effect for me. Good luck!
