I have acidity and decided to take Nexium. I want to know if there is any major side effects of this drug?

There are side effects with every drug, however, Nexium is well-tolerated in most patients.

well...the side effects that are associated with Nexium, are only temporary and may just be caused by your body’s adjustment to the treatment. The main side-effects include headache, abdominal upsets, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, and dryness of the mouth. It can be said that this drug has very negligible side-effects in comparison to most other drugs.

My doctor gave me samples of Nexium for stomach pains I was having. I came home and took one and got very sick and threw up. I couldn't take it, but I have that reaction to other drugs. I think it is probalby a pretty good medicine for it's intended purpose.
