I could recommend some meds to help reduce the side effects of detox, but at this point, you really need to talk to your doctor... better yet, get a better doctor -- someone who cares instead of brushes you off. This is something you will need professional help with, not an internet forum. Don't mess around, man. This is serious -- not just with the ridiculous amounts of
codeine you're taking, but with the extremely high doses of
ibuprofen (you may be taking Nurofen for the codeine, but there's 200 mg of ibuprofen per tablet).
That much ibuprofen will completely rip up your stomach, intestines, and kidneys. Do you want to die from internal bleeding due to severe ulcers in your digestive tract? Do you want to permanently damage your kidneys? Do you know what life is like for someone with chronic kidney failure? Dialysis 3x a week, your health deteriorates gradually until your systems shut down one by one.
You can't tell if you're damaging your kidneys until they're already damaged. You may think you're fine now, but one day you'll wake up sick as a dog, go to the hospital, and the doctor will tell you that your kidneys are not functioning and you will need dialysis.
You need to stop and you need professional help, but the professional help is not immediately available. So get someone you trust. Tell him/her about your problem and ask them to be supportive, but non-judgemental. Ask them to monitor you on a daily basis and step in when your willpower fails. Start tapering off gradually now and make sure you get into rehab.
You can do it. It's not easy, but you can. You know you can. But you're afraid of the pain and the suffering. You're associating it with negativity and automatically react to do whatever you need to do to relieve the pain and suffering. So you take some more. But if you associate the pain and suffering with positivity and think of it as a sign of progress... a sign that this means you're getting better bit by bit... if you know that it's going to hurt and say instead "bring it on you f***kers", then you're not going to automatically do anything to avoid the suffering, but instead, embrace it.
You'll need help along the way, but ultimately, it's really up to you. If you really want to quit, you will.
