Default Need advice on stopping Lexapro

Hi all. Well, I have been taking Lexapro about 7 months now. I have only been taking 1/2 of a 5 mg pill, so about 2.5 mg roughly. The main reason for this is because I have read so much about withdrawal and am scared of all the problems I could have when I stop. Has anyone here taken a small dose of Lexapro, like 5 mg or less, and still had a bad withdrawal from it? My other question about Lexapro is does it weaken your immune system? I have been reading some articles that it could possibly do this, but they arent for sure about it yet. The reason I think it is affecting my immune system is because I have been sick 4 times with a cold this past year, actually since I started taking the Lexapro. And before that, I wasnt sick very much, at most once or twice a year. The lex has really helped me with anxiety though, even with a small dose, but I really dont want to be sick all the time. Also, I would like to get pregnant again sometime in the future and will have to stop taking lex then. Anyway, if anyone has any advice for me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks all!

You are on such a small dose, i wouldn't worry. plus if you say it is helping you, then stay on it. I take 10mg a day, and it has changed my life.. so why go off it. my only gripe is the weight gain. but i'd rather be fat and mellow than the raving lunatic i was.............
