Default lortads 5-500 or darvocet?

since my knee surgury I have been on lortad 7.5's and 5's. Plus I have a script for darvocte 100 mgs..Which will help better with the pain? and if I am drinking beer how many will be "To many" of each. I know the tabs have lots of tylonel in them and they are bad for the liver, and can make you sick..
any thoughts will help. I think darvocte is a sister to methadone, is that correct?

Darvocet (propoxyphene with tylenol) is a very weak pain killer but the lortabs aren't much better. You need to try both and see which one works best as they are about the same for killing pain.Be extremely carefull mixing these with booze as you can go into toxic shock and shut your liver down.Good luck and be carefull.....Dave

Lortabs are a weaker version of perciset which is oxycodone, the loratabs are better for more severe pain and the darvacet is for pain that isnt so severe, they both have alot of tyenol which may not go down to good with beer.

Actually, Lortab is an equivalent of Vicodin (Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen). Both Lortab and Darvocet are worthless, and do more harm than good. More so the Darvocet, in which case most people need several at a time for any benefit. And because it contains enormous amounts of Acetaminophen, which does damage to your stomach, kidneys, liver, etc., is bad news. If you are taking these long term, I would see about getting switched to something that doesnt contain Acetaminophen.
