Default kadian

I am on Kadian 20mg 2xs a day, 325mg of lyrica and 60 mg of cymbaltra a day. I take it for nerve damage and back pain. I had surgery in Sept for a ruptured disc and have severe nerve damage as a result of the disc being ruptured.
Is anyone else on Kadian? I will hopefully be getting off it soon and was wondering if I will experience any withdrawals. I have been on and off pain meds mostly hydros for almost 4 years. I am finally starting to feel better and want to get off the pills.
Thanks!
I am new here but have been reading posts for a few days- you all seem so supportive!

You should try and wean yourself down slowly. After 4 years on and off you're probably going to have some physical withdrawls if you just stop taking it.You are on a small dose and that will definately help when you start to wean down. You have to play it by ear so to speak, come down to 10mgs bid and see how that feels. If you're ok at 10mgs bid then stay there for at least 2 weeks before you make another dose change. The thing is you want to make the changes slowly so your body and brain can adjust.Good luck.....Dave

It is hard to wean off a capsule, like Kadian. I have gone off and on it for approaching a year now for severe nerve damage in my hip. I have yet to have any withdrawl symptoms from it, even after being on it for 4 months straight, same dose as you. I may be an odd case though, I have tried it all and I am allergic to a lot, but I also havent yet had withdrawls from anything except Lexapro.
