Default How to overcome Lexapro Sexual Side Effects?

Hi Everybody

I have been on lexapro for nearly 2 years.

By now i am taking 5mg daily. And so far so good. My depression and anxiety are under control. My life is so much better now....

But there is a side effect that is bothering me. Its technical term is anorgasmia which means not being able to ejaculate. Apart from that everyting related to sex works fine.

Does any one taking lexapro is having the same problem as me?

I am trying hard to find a solution to overcome this side effect but still haven't found it.

Any help is welcome

I've been taking Lexapro for about 2 years myself (2 1/2) and also experienced mild sexual side effects. It was harder for me to ejaculate (it took longer). My advice is to eat real healthy and exercise to stimulate blood flow. Eggs are good because they contain lecithin which sperm is primarily made up of. Bananas are good also.

I'e been taking Lexapro for a little over 2 months. My internist prescribed if for stress. I was on the verge of getting inflammatory bowel disease from all the problems in my life.

I can't do anything. My doctor and I haven't figured out if it part of the normal aging process, the Lexapro or what.

Viagra and Cialis do nothing for me.

I don't know if this helps you, but it is good to discuss the issue with someone.

I'm a female and have been taking Lexapro 20 mg for almost 3 years now and have experiences a complete drop in my "sex drive". The other bad part is that this is the only drug I've been able to take that doesn't cause worst side affects. so like you I'm stuck also
