Unhappy how long does methadone stay in system after stopping

i switched from 10 mg methadone to norco 7.5/325 x6 per day about 10 days ago. i ve been feeling weird lately,,,,agitaded, wired, itchy, hard to sleep. thats been for about 3 days. to top it off i had a severe reaction from minocylen 2 days ago. not sure if that is still lingering. i have rhuemitoid arthritis so my system is real sensitive, plus i have a history of adverse effects from most drugs

i thought i would be home free after 4 or 5 days?

Here's some basic information on Methadone (also has some about Suboxone, which contains buprenorphine and naloxone): http://www.thatspoppycock.com/librar..._Methadone.php

Methadone has a half-life of 5-59 hours, meaning that half of it could still be left in your system after 59 hours (at the maximum). Withdrawal can last a few weeks, but since you simply switched, you should be in the clear after two weeks or so (but it will lessen in intensity after the first week), then it should slow down a bit. I would talk to your doctor and see what he/she says. They may be able to ease the transition a little bit.

Methadone is a very tricky drug you are probably having alittle w/d from the switch methadone is very powerful with an extremly long half life it can stay in your system for days to weeks vics have a short half life. Things should start to even out soon. you should talk with your dr if you arent feeling better soon
