MELINDA; Thanks for letting me know that it has worked for fibro pain. Do thye just take it at night. Actually, even if that is the case, I would be interested as that is when my pain seems to be the worst..... also I do feel better during the day if I have had a good night's sleep the night before. Definitely worth a try. I agree that I do NOT want to go back on ativan. It was definitely addictive!!! The anxiety I felt coming off of it was hell! I thought that the pain I was experiencing was from withdrawal and would go away but the fibro type pain has actually worsened (or come to the surface)since being off of ativan so I willl give flexeril a try esp, after what musicman said. I am not much of a sweets eater so I could probably avoid refined sugar pretty easily but how do you avoid flour? Does that mean you are gluten free? No breads at all? I would give up any foods if it will help with the pain!!! Does no sugar include fuits? Thanks for your help. I'll try to get flexeril on Monday and will try to make the diet changes. One more question..... have any of the women at the fibro clinic had breast implants? I had breast cancer in 2007 and have a saline implant. EVERY doctor I have gone to tells me that the implant can not be a cause of any body pains but I am getting desperate for an answer and would be willing in a minute to have the thing removed to stop the pain but don't want unnecessary surgery either. |
Hi frantic mom
To answer your question...Yes they take them before bed. My friend linda says she only takes it when she has a flair up and by the next day she is ready to go...
I think it may depend on how bad your fibro is.
OK, as far as my diet goes...LOL
I will only eat meat and vegtables...
But in the fibro diet you can eat fruit and brown rice.
I know people would say my diet is not healthy, But it's healthy for me...
If I have to have bread (Maybe 2 times a year) I order off of the internet, you can find stuff on low carb sites with no flour...
I never had implants, LOL,I could use some

sorry just having some fun...
I will ask at the fibro doc and find out what is said on that issue...
My theory is stress is a big factor in fibro.
When I'm stressed everything hurts more...
If I can help with anything please feel free to ask
Hope you have a great day
Talk to you soon, Melinda
