Default Dreams about opiates

Have any of u caught urself having dreams about the opiates u once loved? Especially after u stop doing them and ur done with all the withdrawals. I've caught myself plenty of times haveing intense, vivid dreams about getting a bunch of OC's. These dreams usually start popping up in me like after i have been off Oxycontins for like a week or more. The dreams are basically all the same, im chillin with my buddies who all do/did oc with me and we stumble across a big bottle full of 80's and i get so excited in my dreams that when i wake up i get kinda depressed that it wasn't real and that i have no OC in sight. Its ridicuolos i have never told anyone about having dreams like this until now and i was just wondering if any of you guys have ever had dreams about pills/drugs w/e you do...??

You know... since I have cut down my dreams have been much much more vivid as well. I wake up really believing that it is real. It freaks me out too.... I read that it is common though. I jsut wanted to say that I was in the same boat as that and had common side effects.

Scorp, before you offend someone, please watch making posts like this with such broad assumptions, you make it sound like everyone else on here has an addiction problem and that is why they are all here, but that is not the case. Some of us are here to help others, some are here to get med/medical advice or drug IDs, or they need information.

Fine with me, you are far to stubborn to see the truth about yourself, but you try to make other people out to be abusers and addicts, why on earth would I need to listen to someone like you anyway. Go ahead and ruin your life, have fun!

Well, lol, if that is where you intended to be, then I guess you are.

Sorry, I have jumped allover you and misunderstood you Scorp, you are actually highly intelligent (even though you hate to worry about grammar and spelling) and are quite an interesting character.

lol im glad to make you laugh. Why, out of all the opiates, does oxycodone, when snorted, give people such a euphoric "energetic" high..?

Scorp~ I have had these dreams as well. I usually wake up as soon as the pills are in my hand and i'm about to take them. I do wake up and feel depressed but you have to change your way of thinking. Instead of being depressed just be happy that you actually remembered your dream. Turn things in your mind and you will realize that dreaming actually helps you deal with your struggles in your life. They do go away! Maybe I shouldn't say go away but happen less as time passes. Stick with your sobriety. There is nothing better then being clean and living life as you choose on lifes terms. I'll be praying for you!

Not so clueless,

Well Oxycodone is a very, very strong narcotic. The reason for the euphoria is the way it acts on the synapses in your brain. There is a very professional and detailed explanation, but I am in too much pain and misery myself to look it up and explain it all this morning.

i like oxycodone, it makes me feel just right. Like flying down the cool summer streets with all my windows open listening to a bad ass song and smokin a blunt of trainwreck buds and feelin better then ever, keep it real and stay away from this amazing drug if at all possible.
