Default Does anyone know???

[?] What is the difference between Adderal and Phentermine. I understand that Adderall is used to treat AD/HD and Phentermine is a weight loss drug but aren't they the same thing???

Thanks to anyone who can answer this for me!!!

I don't know a damn thing about it, but since you're so eager for a response I suppose I can wildly guess. Adderall is dextroamphetamine. Wanna get high? Adderall will do it. It will also kill you if you take too much, or if you have heart problems or hypertension. I don't know what phentermine IS. Why don't you Google it?

Jesus Christ will help you through. -Betsy

Sydbean,I don't know anything about Adderall or the other. My son was on Ritalin for years for ADD.I agree with Betsy, taking Adderall will speed you out but I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.I tried to take one of those ADHD drugs when I was out of my pills and got hella sick.By the way I posted a question and noone (well one person)answered.Maybe every one is busy with Christmas.Either that or they hate me! lol!!!!Just a little paranoia from my using days!

I have NOOOOOOOOOOOO intention of ever taking drugs like that I struggle enough without adding more to my plate. I have been reading just about non-stop on these forums and I see these drugs a lot and wasn't sure what the big deal was with Adderal all of a sudden it seems there are tons of problems people are listing with it specifically and I was thinking to myself that phentermine has been around since forever and why all of a sudden is (what I thought was the same thing but not sure) and now it seems to be a huge problem. I see Adderall listed in tons of threads...I have always only taken meds prescribed by my doc and due to chronic pain he finally decided to switch me to Methadone. Well, if I was having a better pain week and would have some left a friend from work would always ask to "borrow some" claiming she had chronic pain but a cruel doctor and I always tried to help her if I could. Well, one time she gave me this little blue pill at work and said that it was like what we would take in high school to get extra energy and I would love it....I kept it in my drawer at work for weeks and finally I decided to try it....I regretted that decision for the next several hours after that.....it was awful I was so friggin wired I thought I was going to pop out of my skin.....So, this drug ended up being Adderall...I have never taken phentermine so I, myself can't compare but let me tell you it was nothing like the damn over the counter "energy" pills we took back in high school...we called them cross roads. Anyway, thank you both for taking the time to answer me!!!!

I'll keep reading and see what else I can learn!!!!

Phentermine is an appetite suppressant and a quite popular one. Adderal is a central nervous system stimulant. It belongs to the class of drugs called amphetamines and is highly addictive. It is used for prevention of narcolepsy, to control ADD.

Hope that helps.
