Anyone have any comments about this drug?? I have heard it is a lot like effexor[?]

Cymbalta: When my mother died last year, I just spun out with depression and attacks from all directions of auto-immune disorders; rheumatoid episodes, fibromyalgia, myopathy. My psychiatrist was very anxious to take me off Lexapro and try Cymbalta with me as it is not only an antidepressant, but helps WOMEN who are prone to pain accompanying depression. It was a little slow on the uptake; or perhaps I was so far down I had a long way to come up. But it not only stopped the crushing depression, it has helped enormously with the various AI aches and pains I seemed to be fighting with constantly. I am off both Celebrex and Darvocet. In my case, this is the perfect medication. No side effects noted.
