I take 20mg celexa once a day before bed for pain-induced depression and it has worked wonders. It's hard to explain but I can only describe as my "outlook" on things have changed for the better. I've pretty much stopped the "wo is me" attitude.

I just started on Celexa for pain-induced, and homesickness-induced, depression. I hope it works for me as well as it has for you because I too am sick of this "poor me" attitude I've adapted. [:I]

I haven't been able to find much information on Celexa so I was glad to read John's experience with this drug. My (new) Dr. has prescribed Celexa but I haven't started it yet; I wanted to find out more about it. I was previously on Paxil CR, which did not help me very much. I believe I will get my prescription for Celexa filled now. Things can't get much worse as I am about to go crazy (my depression is in the form of anger and hostility rather than sadness). I was on celexa and it worked for me but I have had weight gain that I dont take it anymore. I also noticed if I didnt take it or missed a dose, my b/f also noticed and would tell me to take my pills. I was takeing 2 pills a night.
