Default benadryl overdose?

Hi,
I am fostering a litter of kittens, I was tested and told I was allergic before hand, so I've been taking my Allegra 180 every morning and keeping them in my nieces room. I just spent about 10 minutes with them and had an instant allergic reaction. I found some generic benadryl, (checked this site to make sure that's what they were b/c they weren't in the package) and then took 2. Then I realized they are 50 mg, not 25 mg. I remember I used to have rx strength benadryl that were 50 mg and I was only supposed to take one. Did I take too much?

I'm no doctor so please don't quote me. But in the past I have had allergic reactions to a few different medications while being treated for migrain headaches in the ER, and I was given 100MG of Benadryl via IV so I think you should be ok.

I'm not a doctor, but doubt the amount you took would be a problem, unless you happened to be allergic to it. I think I remember reading that a baby was being fussy, and so the babysitter put benedryl in the formula thinking it would make the baby sleepy, probably a huge amount to a baby, and the baby died. So it can be toxic, in certain amounts. Maybe almost any drug that can do good things, can do bad things, too.
