Default Atenolol

Hi,

I am new to this forum but was wondering if anyone knew the answer to my question. I was recently perscribed Atenolol for a feinting problem I have been having. I am a college student and have noticed that I am feeling tired and sluggish and my heart rate stays low. I know that these are all part of the drug but I was wondering that since this is happening, does that mean I will likely gain weight as well? I will keep up with excersize, but as any normal 20 something female, I am concerned.

Thanks!

I have been taking atenolol for about 6 yrs now. I never experianced any lack of energy. maybe you should consult your doctor about it. It has done only and exactly what is supposed to for me. My BP is now under control and thats a big worry off of my shoulders. I too am a normal(basically lol) early 30's female. Good luck with your condition. Please email me if you happen to talk to your doctor. I am courious to see what he says.

I experience shortness of breath when I begin excercise for the first 10 minutes. If I do not take it, I work out much better. Gotta take it though for Atrial Fiberation.
