Default Addicted to prescription pain killers

I am a single father 42 years old with one child age 13, that has been suffering from severe migraine headaches for over six years. I have been taking various prescription drugs for relief for almost 6 years. I have gone thru so many different medications I've lost track. Everything from anti depressants to narcotics and now it seems my doctor is going back in circles and trying medications I've already tried in the past. Currently I am taking 160mg of OxyContin and 24mg of Hydromorphon (Dilaudid) by nose(of course my doctor thinks this is being taken orally) for the last few months and this had been very successful in providing relief, but I am beginning to worry about my health and the long term effects this may be having on me. I want to cut down or even quit all these narcotics, but every time I attempt to go off of them I get horrible headaches along with a number of other symptoms. Is there any help for people with my condition? I am on Disability so my insurance is Medicaid which I doubt has any coverage for conditions of this nature. Not to mention they would probably dis-continue my social security and Medicaid if they where to find out about my addiction. Any advice would be appreciated.

Addiction to pain killers is very common, i see it every day. If your taking 160 miligrams of oxycodone a day thats a serious issue. The hydromorphon is dangerous to mix with it. I personally have used both and i am familar with the relive it gives you but what i think you need to do is to cut down slowly of how much you take each day. Just start by taking 5 less miligrams each day and do that for a week or two then cut down 10 more miligrams and just slowly cut down how much you take. In the long run if you continue to use that much you could kill yourself leaving your child behind. I hope this is useful for you.
