I know your post is very old, but I came across it while researching the combination of these two drugs. I was initially taking only Adderall XR. I told my doctor during a visit that I felt the Adderall wasn't working every time I took it. So my dosage was upped to 20mg twice a day. Also that I was experiencing a low when it began to taper off. I would also experience some irritability.
She suggested I start with 150 mg of Wellbutrin for a week, and then 300 mg a day after that. I have been taking the two for about two months now, and I'm experiencing the exact same thing you were. It's good to know that I'm not the only one. I wasn't sure at first, but I'm now I'm sure that when I take both I get significantly less benefit from the Adderall. I'm scheduling a follow-up today to discuss this.
What did you end up doing about it?
