Hospitals put information into the MIB ( Medical Information Bureau). Insurance companies have access to it, pharmacies enter scripts into the MIB, privacy is a joke once you sign any release statements. And that's one of the first things you sign with any dr/hospital/ER ... even an eye dr is going to get a release signed.
Employers only have access to certain information their insurers are able to get for them but you can forget about privacy in this system. Anyone with money and who knows someone with access can find out anything they want about you. I can tell you everything there is to know about anyone for a fee. That's a fact.
I think it's disgusting but such is our system of doing things. God bless.
