Default What is the best drug for post op pain?

Hi,

I'm going in for surgery next week and will need something for pain. It seems the only thing that doesn't make me nauseous is Vicodin. I take it for Fibromyalgia pain.

I have been given some meds after surgery that made me so sick I had to go on anti nausea suppositories.

For my last surgery the Vicodin didn't really help with the post op pain that well. I took 2 every 4 hours and it was hard. I was still in a lot of pain for 2 days.

BTW- I am having Occipital Neuromodulation surgery which involves putting electrodes under the skin in the back of my head and then will run a lead under the skin down my back to the battery which will be put in my left buttocks.

Thanks,

Larrk
