| | Hi Marley, you came to the right place for support. Today is day 7 for me, stopping morphine cold turkey. I know it is a hard thing to do but everyone on here is so supportive and they will help you out a great deal. I don't know how long it will take for you to feel better but I’m still felling ********py. Day 5 was when I saw the most improvement in how I felt so hang in there and good luck. |

| | You are almost there - it takes about 5-6 days to start feeling much better. I have gone through it several times and felt good within a week of quiting. I also had the extreme anxiety, sleeplessness, emotional wreck, the whole bit...Just hang in there, do some exercise that will make you sweat, drink plenty of fluids and eat healthy foods until you are through the withdrawal period. You can do this, I promise! |

It wasn't until day 7 that I began to feel good. However I must say on day 18 and 19 I tried vic again and got real depressed. So now I have been clean again for 4 days. You're in day 3 so it will gradually get better from here until day 7. (at least for me that what happened) I quit cold turkey and those first 3 to 4 days were the worse thing I have ever experienced..
Good Luck Hondo PS Melinda was a lot of help to me. |

Good Luck Hondo PS Melinda was a lot of help to me. | Hi Hondo
before I quit for the last time ...I had stopped and then took a few also...but it just sucked...the guilt was awful...I guess it was a good thing, it just wasn't fun anymore...
I may have to have surgery in a couple months, and it scares me to think I will have that cr@p in my body...I don't even know if I will have it done and I'm already making a plan so I wont get stuck on those pills again...
I'm glad the pills made you depressed ... just so you wont take them anymore...
you have worked to hard at this...
Talk to you soon, Melinda |

| | hey joyce and Marley. You all are doing great. I started weaning down since last week and have not had anything in my system since saturday so techically i am on day 3 of cold turkey. try working out. I went to my gym yesterday and although my work out was half wit, it still helped me feel better. like robert told me, when on pain pills your body stops producing endorphines in your brain so you need to do something physical to get them producing again. My withdrawles are slowly subsiding but i still have very low energy & mildly achy bones but my crave is dying. keep in mind that although this sucks feeling like this, i keep in mind i brought this hell upon myself and suffering should make me remember not to have a relaps. |

You are already sounding like a different person from yesterday. That's very cool! Hang in there buddy, you're going to make it. God bless.
