Default Vertigo

a little over 30 hours ago I was sitting at my kitchen table with a few others and the room started spinning. It was pretty bad last night. I went to bed, hoping it would be gone this morning - nope. I haven't felt normal all day, yet it hasn't been as bad as last night.

This afternoon I also started to feel achy, and my throat started to tingle. Could the vertigo be the onset of a cold?

I know vertigo can have something to do with your ears, normally an infection - but my ears feel fine. My sinus are slightly stuffed up, but thats nothing new for me.

I'm walking around with some lower back, neck, and shoulder aches - along with a room that wont stop moving.

I've generally understood vertigo to be something that comes and goes on its own, however after searching the net tonight I'm a little worried that I should be seeking a doctor. My only concern is I just switched onto my own health care and as a starving student/ newly married cash is tight. My 2500 dollar deductable isn't going to cover jack! [B)]

I haven't checked my blood pressure, but I'd imagine its ok. If my only symptoms are aches and dizziness do I need medical attention? What if I check my pressure and its high?

Thanks for any advice you may be able to offer.

JUNKIE,

You could have a cold or flu with an ear infection that is causing you to be dizzy.Get well soon.

It would depend on how high your BP is, it is normal for it to be slightly elevated when you are sick, stressed, very tired or etc. Unless it goes dangerously high or stays above normal levels for a prolonged period, your doctor won't do anything anyway.

There are many things that can cause your symptoms, cold, flu, viruses, bacterial infections and yes, even your stuffed up sinuses can throw your equilibrium off like that.

Unless it gets really bad, or lasts more than few days, your best idea it to rest at home.

My information is not guaranteed correct. I do not get them right all the time, but I do enjoy the hunt~
