I have been addicted to oxycontin ever since my car accident when I slipped my disk. I am trying to get off of them and my parents are trying to help, but I can't deal with them tomorrow.

Do you guys have any suggestions for passing the drug screen?

Obviously I could use someone else's urine, but that's an awkward conversation I don't feel like having. I've heard that they make vials of liquid that you just put in your cup and it comes out clean, are those effective?

I've also heard that you can just warm up Lipton Green Tea to make it look like urine and that will pass through the tests. Any advice for a tired man who just wants to get through another few weeks without hassles? Thanks appreciated.

Hello there, my advice would be probably what you don't want to hear but here it is anyway sounds like you are young & have your whole life ahead of you & you don't need to screw it up with pain pills that's for sure, believe me ! This is the best advice I could possibly give to you. First come clean with yourself & your parents you don't need the hassle & the thoughts of dealing with hiding things from the people who care about you but this is all apart of addiction nothing new here. Tell your parents the truth it does not mean you are weak quite the opposite it means you are strong & really want to quit. You will gain more respect from everyone & you will instantly feel better. Then start over with trying to stop the pain pills. Because like you said it will only prolong this ,you won't be able to hide it & they will be more upset when they find out what they thought was going on was not. Best to get away from the pills now because the older you get & the longer you are on them the harder it will be to get off them & the more of your life you will have wasted. Believe me when they find out you are honest about this & really want off then the more they will try to help you. They will probably understand better than you think by being truthful. With addiction the need for more meds. ,the lying & hiding will only get worse. So man up take control of your life waiting will only take you deeper into the terrible lows of addiction........Take care & post back about what happens we do care & would like to hear that you are back in control of your life....take a deep breath & do it!

Charlie is right. If you think you have hassles now, get nailed trying to pass off green tea as urine and everyone, including your parents, will turn on you instantly. You are at a crossroads. You can attempt to do the right thing and be honest, ask for help, and do whatever has to be done to get past this now. You will be amazed by how much support you will receive. You can also act like an addict and do the green tea, buy the garbage to drink, or buy garbage to try and sneak in with to do the drug test with or whatever scam you can think of. You might even blow past everyone the first time. But you will get caught sooner than later. You will end up blowing a random test down the line or something will happen ... rest assured. If you succeed at this first drug screen with a scam, you won't stop using the OC. You will think you have a way out. Don't make the mistake of taking that route. It will only cause you a lot more grief that you don't need. Just do what you have to do to handle this the right way. At least that is my advice. Lot's of us have been in the same place as you.
