Default ultram withdrawl

call me crazy, but i take ultram for my headachs, and recently my home was broken into and robbed, and my ultrams were stolen, and i could not get my dr to call them in, even with a police report, and i went into severe withdrawl, and thought i was dying!!!! I really thought i may die and i have withdrawn off all meds, but this is supposed to be non-narcotic, and i was trying to not be addicted to narcotics, but i think the detox from ultram is worse than cocaine!

Ultrams are going to be reschedualed as they effect the same mu receptors as opiates. That's why you had the terrible withdrawls. Are you ok now......Dave

Narcotic or not, anything you take for a long period of time, on a regular basis causes your body to become dependent on it, be it your morning coffee, or an aspirin, and the sudden removal of that substance from your body will cause withdrawal effects.

My information is not guaranteed correct. I do not get them right all the time, but I do enjoy the hunt~

yes, doing better now, thank god, but the only thing is that my refill is on the 26th and I'm not sure that I want to go back there, but they are the only meds that help my agonizing headaches!!!!

All,

I have been saying for some time ultram is bad you will go through w/d at least some one agrees with that doctors give them out because they are not nars yet they will give you a buss if you take a few they would work great for w/d if i couldent get anything else so dont buy into the bs about non habit forming its a lie if you have a problem with nars you will have a problem with these so all you people that think they are ok as long as you belive that thats all that matters its trading one for the other.

thank you very much for your honesty. i think ultrams are the devil, if they will prescribe you them, they should prescribe you something good.

Ultram does "touch" the same brain receptors as narcotics. I used to use ultram to help me come down off of whatever pills or drugs I was running out of at the time. Also, these Ultram's can give you a buzz if you take enough of them and there is a fine line between buzz and seizure on this medication. I had three seizures on three different occassions trying to get a buzz so I know this stuff can be bad!! If at any way possible, try to stay off of them!

Hello,
I too have been given tremadol, ultram (hydrochloride), whatever you want to call it, for migraines. I would get Ocular migraines caused by stress. They would get to the point I would loose my vision and have to lay down for about a half hour at a time. Then a minor headache would follow sometimes for almost two days non stop. I have now been on this drug for about three months. I can go days taking none (but not usually) or days taking one, and other days taking 2 and sometimes but rarely maybe 3! I get the same "happy" easy going, non worrying, way less stressing out, relaxed feeling from one pill as the first day I ever took one! So I guess everyone is different. Just wanted to say this pill has done wonders for my life and I am thankful for it. (I have not had a headache or Ocular migraine since). Also, FYI - It allows me to focus better on work and just smile and nod easier through out life and the things that get thrown my way! I do not take it about 6-7 hours before I know I will be sleeping because, for me, I can not sleep on it. I just lay there happily and feel good, but cant sleep. Oh and another thing, I had a problem with alcohol and partying and getting into trouble. Now I don’t drink except maybe once a week and have no craving to even then. I am also perfectly content staying in on Fri and Sat nights when my friends call and want to go out. I would rather have them over here to just sit and talk or play video games etc...Its not like I am being anti-social. Oh and this drug also seems to help me do the house hold chores. I can clean like a mad man and be happy and have fun doing it. Seems like its a wonder drug huh? Well to me, it is! Thanks for listening - hope this helps someone and if anyone has any advise or precautions for me I am all ears. Thanks again,

Iryna's man~
