Default Total differences in oxycodone tabs

I have taken oxycodone for a while and just recently got a prescription with the capsules that have the powder, they are 5 mg oxycodone only, it says ethex 041 on the pills. Question I have is why are the other pills I have been prescribed, like the watsons with the acetimenophen in them so much stronger? These pills are very weak and don't even seem like oxycodone?

All generics are not equal, you might ask for a different generic, secondly many people believe acetaminophen helps make opioids work better, you might try taking both and see.

Oxy IR 5mg really isn't a strong pill, if you're comparing it to a Norco 10, it's about the same strength.

I missed your post last night or would have replied.

Cat is right in that the acetaminophen mixed with oxycodone or hydrocodone helps make us feel that buzz or euphoria from RX opiates. The Norco comparison was perfect. Take a Norco (10/325), then compare it to a lorcet (10/650). That difference in 325mg vs 650mg of acetaminophen in lorcets is why there is SO much difference in the two meds while they have the same amount of hydro. Percs 5/325 are the same. And they also have a Perc 10/325. RX opiates with 325mg of acetaminophen never worked period for me. They were nearly worthless. Have to watch that we don't consume in excess of 4000mg of acetaminophen in a 24 hour period. It becomes toxic beyond that limit. Good luck.

Well to be perfectly honest I don't do it for the buzz, but I do get a buzz and it seems like it works less on my pain, but that does make sense on how it relieves pain more, but I don't understand why acetimenophen would make the buzz better, but I do believe you. Thanks.
