Hi Tom,

I've been a member here for a couple years but just recently just started lurking again because of all the **** that goes on in "NEED TO TALK" Anyways, I seen a post you made about quitting m'done ct?! How many mgs were u on? And why were u on it? Just curious. I have a good friend who has chronic pain with RSD(nerve disease) she had been on OC's 60mgs 4x's daily, but recently her Dr. took her off that and added M'done 40 mgs daily. She says that it work wonderfully for her pain and also doesnt have any ups and downs which she had with the Oxycontin. he has her on it indefinitely but shes scared that if he ever takes her off what will the wd be?
I would appreciate any thoughts of your or info concerning this.

I was on 100mgs of methadone when I went cold turkey.I went to a clinic because I was addicted to pain pills.At my worst I could take 120 lorcet in 2 to 3 days.At first I felt good with the methadone then everything stated to change.No sex drive then the depression which led to a suicide attempt.I'm not saying that this is going to happen to your friend.It's just what happened to me.It works great for pain because it has a working life of up to 36 hours.Got bounce I'll add more later!
