Default is there a drug that helps addictive personalities?

I have come to realize that I have an addictive personality. I can get addicted to anything; foods, drugs, habits, you name it. I know I must have the addictive gene. After my struggle to get off painkillers (4plus months clean) I see that I must have something wired wrong in me that makes me constantly search for ...what?? I don't know. I have made an appointment to see a psych dr. but can't get in until the end of June.

My question is, does anyone have any experience with a medication that works to combat the addictive personality that I asssume most of us on this forum struggle with? Maybe I am trying to approach my problems from a different point of view? I am at a really good place right now and don't want to relapse. What do you think?

Try St. John's Wart - it's for Nerves - natural OTC. Take about 4-6 every 4 hours. Will take 2 days to work. Not addictive - I used it to get off Percocet.

I went to a new doc. the other day he says well your addicted to everything. This is true but only if I like it . I have tried substances that I have seen others get terribly addicted to but I was able to stop easily because I didn't really like it. If I don't like it from the start then I don't need to worry , it won't be around long. But something I like look out-------

Thanks guys. Will try the OTC stuff. I always thought that herbal was garbage until I broke down and got melatonin. It helps me tremendously.
