I don't know about coughing blood, but I can tell you from personal experience what my oxy withdrawals are like. Sneezing, tremors, yawning, depression, body aches, restless legs, sweats (especially at night) unable to sleep, headache, can't sit still, can't concentrate on anything, despair, diarhea, vomitting. Other than that i'm fine when I run out early[xx(] If he has a legitamate reason, I would recommend trying to find a stronger longer lasting drug.

The duragesic patch is fast becoming a favorite for chronic pain sufferers. It's a patch filled with fentanyl that's applied to the skin and changed every 3 days.Oxycontin is the most abuse narcotic out there and is losing favor with alot of doctors. It has a powerful euphoric effect on patients which tend to abuse them for this very reason......Dave

After awhile the patch does not work as well, you have to take pain meds po for the break thru pain. then coming off the patch is terribe. Its the hardest thing I have ever done. Has anyone gone thru withdrawals from the pain? How long do they last and do you always feel so tired[xx(]
