Default Switched from Methadone to Suboxone

After going to the methadone clinic for 3 years (180 miles round trip and $300 a month, At my highest point I was on 180mgs of methadone daily for about 1 year. I detoxed down from 180 mgs to 25 mgs over an 8 month period of time. Finally I switched over to Suboxone. I got sick as hell for about 3 days, but it was well worth it. Currently I am taking 16 mgs of Suboxone. 1 8mg tablet in the morning and 1 8mg tablet in the early evening. It took some time, but I feel 1000 times better than I did when I was on Methadone. No more sweats and no more driving thru the Pocono mountains in a blizzard to get my dose of methadone. The key is too dose down as low as you possibly can, the lower your dose of methadone the better the Suboxone will work for you. Hope this helps someone. Thank You.
