Default suggestions on tapering from hydros

I have taken 3-4 hydro 7.5 for about a year for arthritus. I have some to the conclusion that the sickness from hydros is not worth the benefits of the pain relief. When I do not take any I get anxious as hell and basically sick from withdrawls. Is there a good tapering suggestion anyone has? Also I was told that a good way to come off hydros is to use darvocet for 2 weeks to help with withdrawls...any suggestions on that too? Thank you all and God Bless

I definately would suggest a taper. I am on day 14 of a taper myself. Down from 10 norcos, which is hydro 10/325 a day to 2 1/2 a day now. I would strongly suggest telling your doctor. I had tried tapering in the past and couldn't do it because I had no help. My doctor's are helping me and my fiance holds the pills for me and gives them out. I don't know what will work for you, I only know what has been working for me. When i started the taper I would go as long as I could on 1 pill. when I started I could only go about 3-4 hours on 1 pill and had to take 2 1/2 at night to sleep. I would force myself to go through about a half hour to an hour of withdrawls before I took another pill. It was kinda ****py but I would usually get on this website, take a long hot bath or shower, go on a walk. Stock up on the Imodium. It totally gets rid of my stomache cramps and runs. I really haven't had to take much. The worst is the chills and the skin crawling but that is getting better and better. I take a pre-natal vitamin every day. I am getting married in 6.5 weeks and am hoping to be completely off of them in one to three weeks. You will feel so good one you do this. I have been taking them for at least two years constantly. I feel better than ever. Oh another thing, try to keep real busy and take as few as you can during the day and bank them for sleeping for the first week or so. right now a half of a pill is lasting me 5 1/2 to hours with no w/drawls. I still take one before bed though. Last night I slept 8 full hours without waking up shaking.

you can do it

my friend has bad arthritis, he is only 30. I know he goes to the hospital every two months and gets remecaid treatments. He has been pain free and pill free for a long time.
