| | hi robert
have been reading you for a long time
i was started induction by an "addiction specialist" well known throughout
the country.
he did say, i was a "super sensitive person to any medication"
if there was a side effect, i got it.
i currently take, on day 4 of induction
4mg in the am, 4mg in the pm
i do not sleep-
he will not prescribe xanax, he calls it "liquid alcohol"
anyway, im on about 100mg effexor a day now, for over a year
and now the sub...was taking about 40-50mg vicodin for a good amount
of time
thanks for your response robert...sincerely |

i have read over 100 posts that you have written
no one has ever asked how you are-and really meant it
they start in with their own problems, just like i just did.
can i ask you somethings about you? how old are you?
i know you were addicted for over 35 years...what finally was it for you?
are you married? have children? do you work?
i saw that you did have a stroke? are you paralyzed?
im sorry if im asking too much, but i ask because i want to get to know
you and i am a freakin mess right now
i just need it to go both ways
alot of people, i tell everything about me,,,they never say a word
about themselves and then they turn around and screw me over
with what i tell them |

| | If you're "super sensitive" to the suboxone then you should try going cold turkey and use the Thomas Recipe to lessen the w/d symptoms. You're not taking a huge dose of vics anyway. You would be better off just stopping and dealing with it for four days or so. That's my opinion at least. Here's a link for the Thomas Recipe. God bless. http://www.drugs.com/forum/featured-...wal-35169.html

| | i stayed awake all night. its 540EST. thanks for the reply robert.
i read posts all night long. it keeps me distracted. and helps with my own
complaints in my head.
stared at my suboxone all night. contemplating whether to abuse it.
one post stated it was as strong as 100 mg morphine ???
i stopped staring at it.im afraid to sleep. when i wake up i shake for hours.
i dream horrible things.
robert, if i went down to 15 mg vicodin before i started sub last mon
you think i am through the toughest part, and should just tought it out from here?
how long until i feel ok?
any advice is advice i will listen to.
thanks |

| | I KNOW that you have never been made stable on the subs. You either need to stop them and deal with the w/d for a few days or else redo the induction. That involves stopping and starting over. I don't think you were ever in the correct amount of w/d to begin with when you were inducted, hence the subs have never worked on you. God bless.

| | Hi all, Just checking in, I got a bad head cold and have been feeling really bad and my lower back hurts, but I am fine, been busy and sick, no fun, but life keeps moving forward. Robert I am down to one full pill a day, I would like to begin tapering down after I get back from vacation, I will check in as ofton as I can and I will be back and vacation over on the 7th of July, is that ok ? I still sweat alot, but I do drink lots of water everyday, so I know all this will pass in time and I hope to 100% off by summers end !

| | Sub W/D all doctor opinions differ I've been on it for over 2 years. I tried t taper a few times with 2 different Dr's...Didn't work.....Now I go to a Dr who said you really go by what you were taking, how, much, and for how long.....He says you should be on subs for the same amount of time that u were addicted, tapering down just like you inreased your use over time, just slower. So far so good....I started with 32mg -day. I'm down to 8mg a day over the past year and feel the same as when I started subs.....just my experience.....best of luck but patience is key |

| | I agree, it is not a race and all I want is to feel good, I can say I have lost 10 lbs, and I am in good shape and eat well, but on the subs, not eating as much, I am a plumber and work long and hard, so I am hoping I start eating more, I am trying , and my back hurts, so I am slowly getting back on track ! Keep smiling ! |

| | Hi all, just ckecking in, I got a bad cold and I think it went to Bronchitis, but I am getting better, still at one full pill a day, heading out for 5 days of fishing and playing, this will be the first time out on the boat with out a bottle full of Norcos, but I should be fine, I was disusing this with my wife yesterday, she was amazed, but once we get back, I will be needing some guidance in the taper plan, I am just moving forward, but thanks for all the support ! Hope everyone has a happy and sober 4th !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 |

| | Hi Craig
I have a good idea when you leave this weekend only bring enough pills to get you thru, I bet there is be some beer drinking going on and that means your going to be playing with fire.
I have been there and there is nothing worse to throw off your taper...just give some thought...well get you thru the taper when you get back...
Have fun but please leave most of your pills at home...
Talk soon, Melinda |

| | Made it back alive, rough trip, ocean was not calm, but no worries, now I am about ready to start the real taper to off excursion,I have a question and it might make some mad, but what are the best drugs for when I begin to have minor withdrawals if it happens, I read so many are using zanax, valum and not sure what else, I am wondering if it is worth getting like 10 of one of these to help with the twitching, I really hate going through the WDS, but I will be sooooooooooooooooooo happy to be finally off the stuff, I know if will take time, and I am have nothing but time ! So Robert, any suggestions, FYI, as you instructed I went from alot a day to one pill total, and I am now ready to begin the finale taper ! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
