Although
Suboxone has not been proven safe in pregnancy the way
methadone has, they are having good results so far with pregnant moms on Sub, and the babies are having milder withdrawals on it. Most doctors will switch you to subutex if you are pregnant. Also, I doubt seriously that your doctor would take you off sub if you tell him of your pregnancy, as that would be VERY dangerous to the baby--quite possibly fatal. Putting you into withdrawals while pregnant is a HUGE no-no medically and can easily result in fetal demise.
He might want to switch you to methadone, as there is much more data to support its safe use during pregnancy.
If you choose to abort it is ESSENTIAL that you tell your doctor that you are on suboxone. They could use a medication that would throw you into immediate, precipitated withdrawals if you don't let them know. Opioid pain meds cannot be used in conjunction with suboxone because of this.
