Your Question The cost of Suboxone varies depending on where you live..Where I live its around 5.60 a peice. Also, my doctors appts. for the first appt. it was 100 dollars and then the next day it was 50 (Because you have to go two days in a row so he can adjust your medication)Then you check in weekly, for that my doctor charges 65, he says after a month I'll see him monthly instead of weekly. It may seem like a lot right now, to me it did..BUT when I did the math and realized how much I was spending on the other stuff, this was a SMALL PRICE TO PAY...and really in the long run ...cheaper. I don't have any experience in methadone. I do know my fair share about suboxone though. First of all it's made up of buprenophine (Sp???) and naloxone. The naloxone is there to keep people from shooting the pill up. The bupren is a partial opiate, what it basically does is give you enought opiate to cut out all withdrawls and cravings, but then it binds to your receptors so you can't really feel anything. Say if you were to take a vicoden while you were on it, you would never even know..and it stays in your body a long time...so even if you were to take something days later, chances are you wouldnt feel it either. You would have to take like 5 times the amount that you took before to feel that 'high' or what not..
Anyway, I've been on Suboxone and I am so greatful for it, it has HELPED me change my ways.....This is actually my second time around on it and hopefully my last. The first time I thought it was some kind of miracle pill and it would do all the work for me. This time I realize it is a TOOOOL in a full treatment plan. Hopefully I've helped you a little..Keep me updated.
Anddd...Check out www.suboxone.com and you can find a lot of information and a doctor near you! Good luck |
