should i tell my doctor

hey there,
i've recently been using an illicit drug. but i need to go to the doctor and am worried about if i should let him know or not. it might be causing the problems im having i dont know. anyway can he report me or for using or is that part of patient privacy. i dont want to get my kids taken away. ive only done it a few times and they havent been home with me nor do i keep it in the house. please let me know.

I told my Dr. when I was using meth and he was so nice and understanding. I think they arent allowed to tell unless your going to kill yourself or somebody else.(I think.) I think its important to be able to tell your Dr. everything, so that they can help you the best way they can.

Be honest with your doctor. He'll be happy that you told him the truth and mad if you didn't. I wouldn't worry about losing my kids, as long as your doctor knows that you are seeking help he will be willing to help you. I've been using an illicit drug myself lately. It's possible whatever you are using may be causing whatever problem it is that you have. Trust me, your doctor will be happy that you told him. Don't worry, you'll be fine, I hope whatever it that is causeing you problems is cureable.
