The summer of 2005, we were boating the Missouri river. I was in the cabin and my husband was driving too fast (we have a 30' Formula powerboat...to give you an idea of the "cabin") He hit a cruiser's wake and I flew up in the air and landed on my left cheek so hard that I couldnt move. It got worse over the next few hours. I didnt know what it was. The pain was debilitating. Off we went to the ER. Sciatica.
I cant run. I cant lift anything heavy. I cant horseback ride. I cant work out on the leg portion of our Bowflex. I cant stand for more than a half hour or so. Sciatica is a scourge that is a life long problem. It will never go away. Almost every strenous movement causes that shooting pain.
Painkillers and
Skelaxin have been what helped me.
Did you injure your rear? I am wondering how else Sciatica can start. Trauma is definitely one source.
Be sure to visit your doc and hopefully he can call me a liar. Good luck!
