Hi all. I wonder if the same familiar usernames are still around from
my last posts.
To give you all a quick background without reading them, I came off of 80 mg of Adderal a day, eight (plus) 10/325 mg of
Percocets & herb.
Well, I can safely say that 2 of the 3 are still gone. But the percs are back.
I had an operation recently & was prescribed them for the pain.
I'm back to being dependent on them. This time around, I find myself consuming approx. 4 or so pills a day.
I want to ask advice from those who quit for a while: Which would you recommend:
- Paying an Addiction Specialist for a Suboxone program (approx. $1,500 for 3 months treatment (24/7 on call including pills).
- Wein off of the percs by cutting down to 10mg, then 5 mg, then 2.5 mg daily?
- Go cold turkey.
I'm pretty much ruling out #3 merely because I cannot miss more work for this & need to kick this habit once & for all without it disrupting my daily activities.
Last time I quit for about 6-7 weeks & the terrible immediate withdrawal got easier, but the tiredness & mental was murder!
Will Suboxone help with the tiredness?
From those who took or who are taking it (Suboxone): How do you feel in comparison to when you were taking the real deal? Please give me as much details as you can.
When I met that Addiction Specialist when I was quitting last time, I laughed at the price mainly because it seemed like such a rip-off.
On a side note, I heard an ad on the radio for a rapid detox via General Anesthesia & the administration of chemicals to the brain which disconnects the
Oxycodone Hydrochloride from the Opioid receptors. It seemed interesting, but when I called & heard it was $7,500, I gave up on that idea. Way out of my budget.
After thinking it over & relapsing, I'm having second thoughts.
Please help.
