Default Quite pain

Hi Everyone,

I happen to find this site by looking for how to ween off Lexapro. I have only been on this medication for 4 month ( but have been on several SSRI for the last ten years or so-After my divorce.) It has only been three days since I am taking the 1/2 dose (5mg) I was on 10mg . The first day was not to bad, yesterday was my first sign that I might have a hard time getting off this medication-I was nausated, had a very nasy headache and was dizzy. I gained 17lbs withing the last two months (part of the reason I want to get off this medication- the other is the dependence to be on it.) Any helpful advice on what else I can do to help some of the withdrawl symtoms. My doctor was almost mad that I wanted to get off this medication ( I don't believe I would get good support from him.) So I came here to vent and get through the withdrawl pain......After reading so many of the posting,I do feel your pain and symtoms...Good luck all....Stay strong..We can do it together!
