Default Problems with anxiety, depression and breathin

I have had trouble breathing for almost 3 months now. I finally went to a doctor last month and they did some test. He said I have anxiety and depression symptoms. My blood results also show my thyroid hormone is low. I have been taking zoloft for almost 5 weeks now and I still can't breath. I just started the thyroid medicine. Has anyone had problems breathing in relation to anxiety and depression?

Hi clayton
OH...yes I did, I had a run with panic attacks when I stopped taking drugs and my mussels were so tight it seemed like i couldn't get any air in.
There are some self hypnosis cd's that you can listen to that will calm you and help your breathing...they work pretty good.

Talk to you later, Melinda

I have problems breathing at the onset of a panic attack. Sometimes when I am on edge smoking, and humid air will make me go into one. Is your anxiety worse than your doctor realizes? I take zoloft also, and it has made my anxiety better... but the panic attacks still happen. I should take my xaxnax with me every where. I almost passed out in a bar the other day from it, and I went to the zoo that same weekend and couldn't walk through an exhibit because it was humid. Does your face get flushed, and/or do you feel dizzy? If your in the car do you have to stick your head out the window because you can't breathe? Have moments of intense anger you can't control? Might be having panic attacks.
