subject is addicted to heroin, say she uses 1g daily. Subject buys 2.000mg of
methadone. She mixes it with some juice and puts the mix in a 4 liter container. Dose 1: she drinks 100mg of methadone by drinking 1/20th of total, i.e. 0.2l (or little more as methadone is in liquid form) and replaces what she drank with pure juice.
Dose 2: she waits as long as she can, preferably 36 hours since first dose and does the same thing.
Dose 3: again she waits as long as she can, methadone has long half life so it's not a big deal, some people's metabolism allows them to be without methadone for as long as 3 days once they have sufficient qty stacked in theit body.
Dose 4: same thing
and so on
what happens is that extending the time between dosages compensates for any dose reduction problems (and then some), especially as methadone stacks up
Dose 45: by now she is drinking pretty much pure juice with homeopathic qty (and quality) of methadone (on submolecular level by now, but homeopathy is an ancient alternative medicine method) + as she believes she is taking methadone she feels nothing.
If needed subject keeps drinking juice for as long as it takes, there are a few nano grams left, perhaps.
If subject is terrified of experiencing the slightest of wd symptoms, make the initial qty of liquid larger so as to have like 2-3% daily reductions, no one can feel the difference between taking 100mg or 97mg of methadone, especially as it is being stacked in the body.
Theoretically you could use the same method with heroin or whatever drug of choice is, but methadone's long half life and liquid form makes it an excellent candidate for this method. If a typical addict tried to do the same with powdered heroin results would, in all likelihood, be predictably poor. In addition, having methadone dissolved in juice allows for the placebo effect and possible homeopathic effect.
Will it permanently cure addiction? Depends. Will it remove cravings? Depends.
Will it make detox smooth and painless. Definitely.
