Default pain killers to alcohol

hi I'm new and have a question. Someone I know and care about is almost at 100 days clean on pain killers. He has started drinking alcohol lately and I'm scared. He keeps telling me it's fine, but I am not so sure.

Any ideas on how to convince him that this is not ok? It's making me so mad and upset!

Alot of addicts cross over to alcohol. This doesn't mean that this is what your friend is doing. Is he\she abusing the booze or just occassional social drinking ect.If you think your friend is loosing control then talk with him\her because even though they say nothing is wrong we at least plant a seed in their head and hopefully they will call when the time comes.Keep an eye on your friend.Your a good friend to have he\she should feel very grateful to have someone like you.....Dave
