Default Oxycodone addiction

I was taking Oxycodone 3 yrs ago after back surgery and never exceeded the amount prescribed. I went through withdrawals after stopping the drug. Now, 3 yrs later I am having back pain again and a new doctor prescribed oxycodone again. I have taking approximately 10 pill in the past week and am feeling withdrawals again. Is this possible? Thanks for your help. going nuts here.

Any addiction to any substance is progressive. have you ever heard the saying once a pickle you can never be a cucumber again? No matter how long you stay off, sadly your body picks up at EXACTLY the same place. Your tolerence never goes backwords. If you felt withdrawels before, you were becomming depenedent. If you start no matter how much time has elapsed, it's as if it had only been hours. Not the news we like but you're going to have to tell yor doctor, and yes this means no easy way. youll have to try accupuncture or other classes od drugs, or end up right back where you were.
