Default numb tongue from darvocet...why?

I'm trying to ween off off a 2 1/2 yr habit of percocets and the other day I couldn't take the withdrawal so I took 2 Darvocets and my tongue kept going numb. Does anyone know why and if this is really bad?

Definately not that! They were bright pink pills. Guess it's never happened to you.

I've heard of this happening before with opiates thaat aren't coated.I don't think you have anything to worry about actually now that I think of it I used to take 500mgs of demerol crushed up every 3 hours and sometimes my tounge would get a little numb.....Dave

Yes, that is common from non-coated tablets, simply because they start to dissolve in your mouth a little sometimes, before you get a chance to swallow them. I had the same thing happen a few times when I used to take Darvocet.

My information is not guaranteed correct. I do not get them right all the time, but I do enjoy the hunt~
