Have you looked into buprenorphene???It takes away all the cravings and withdrawls.Once she's stable for awhile she can detox with little problems.Remember that if she's been addicted for a number of years then she's going to be depressed because she's not making any endorphins. The buprenorphene will replace the endorphins and will bring her out of the depression within days...good luck..Dave |
It sounds to me that could be the problem, coming from a person who has been addicted to
methadone which is very powerful pain killer. I was depressed all the time and really didn't care about to much of anything. The shakes, body temp changes and pain in the hips are all symptoms of withdrawal. When she gets those its probaly because she has been off pain killers for a day or two. Does it seem that she is fine for awhile and then the symptoms are their all of a sudden? If I was you I would confront her directly in a non threating manner. Just let her know how much you love her and are thier for her weather it is an addiction problem or anything else. Just like the person before me I would look into
Suboxone (buprenorphene) same thing. I have been Suboxone for only a couple days and my whole attitude and mood is night and day. I have no depression what so ever and this drug does not make you high either. Also the nice thing about Suboxone (buprenorphene) is it has another drug in it that if she takes any pain killers while she is taking Suboxone it will block it and might make her sick. But honestly I really believe that once she takes the Suboxone she will snap right out of it, at least I did anyways. Good luck and I hope everything goes very well with the both of you.
