My boyfs addiction

My boyfriend is battling an addiction to painkillers. He finally opened up to me and asked for support and help a couple days ago. I know very very little about this addiction and am wanting to learn as much as possible to help him in any way that i can. My only dilemmma is that he just boarded a cruise to become a crew member for the next few months. My only way to support him is via telephone. I am so worried that he will not be able to control his urges or cravings when he has noone around him that truly cares or knows about his addiction. I am just looking for any help or advice that could benefit him. Thank you, God bless

You boyfriend is going to go thru physical symtoms as well as emotional and mental. But going on a trip like that, if he didnt already go thru the physical side, he is in for a big suprise. Its not impossible to do , but i know of very few that can. Keep us up to date.
