Angry My Anxiety is driving me crazy

I have been on Paxil (low Dose) for a couple of years which helped to totally change my life for the best! but now I feel my anxiety coming back & coming back strong.

I can't sleep, I am always looking for something to do, I look like a child with ADD, I am pretty much bouncing off the walls all hours of the night & day. It's messing up my daily schedule with sleeping etc. For some strange reason moving all the furniture in my house sometimes helps but boy am I tired of moving heavy furniture around.

What should I do? I am thinking of going to the doctor & increasing my dose. Should I do that or should I stay with the dose I have now & try to come up with a non-medical solution like yoga etc?

Any help would be appreciated

Your anxiety sounds way different from mine...when mine gets bad all I can do is basically lay in bed and sweat. Hyper-activity seems an odd symptom to me but maybe there is someone else who can give anecdotal info on this?

I have no idea but I do know that my anxiety mixed with major stress this weekend put me into a major meltdown, I lost it! big time. I went off on everyone, I shut of my phone, e-mails & spent the last 2 days in bed. I did not eat just stayed in bed in a total daze. This has never happened before but all I know is that it;s getting worse.

Anyone with a little advise? I would appreciate it. I really cannot be having these meltdowns all the time now.

I think you should go see your doctor. It sounds like it might be bipolar disorder. That is when you go from amazing hyperactivity to major depression and back. What made me think that is when you said you spent 2 days not getting out of bed. That sounds like depression and moving the furniture around aimlessly just to expend an extreme amount of energy sounds like being manic. Bipolar used to be called manic depression for just that reason. Of course, I AM NOT A DOCTOR. This is just a thought on my part. The good thing is that there are medications that can control this easily. I know this because I have a very close relative who has suffered from bipolar disorder for many years (with many years in remission because of good meds).

Thanks Bev, I didn't even think of that. I thought it was a combo of severe anxiety & slight depression.

Cheers,

You sound a lot like me....i have a really short attention span, always have to be doing something, i dont move my furniture around a whole lot, but clean a lot. It absolutely drives me CRAZY....i can sit through movies (sometimes) but man it is getting harder and harder for things to keep my interest. Do you ever get really irritable for reason?? I do quite often and then once I'm in really bad mood I can't pull myself out of it. I just started some new meds, only been on them for about a week but I can already tell they aren't gonna work i don't htink.
